How We Build Our Rankings
Our rankings are built from a four-part model applied to every product in our database. First, we confirm the product is a real, commercially available countertop cooking appliance sold under a verified brand. Second, we require verified buyer demand: at least 100 customer reviews or documented purchase volume, so only products real people are buying make the list. Third, we set a minimum average rating of 3.8 stars, which filters out products with persistent quality complaints. Fourth, we score and rank the shortlist by a combination of manufacturer specifications (capacity, wattage, cooking surface, max temperature, presets), current price, and the volume of verified buyer feedback. No product earns a spot because a brand paid for it.

ApplianceHeaven is produced by a small editorial team. The ApplianceHeaven Research Team handles our data pipeline, compiling rankings and category information from manufacturer specifications, price, and verified owner demand across every product we track. Marcus Webb is our senior countertop cooking editor, focused on air fryers and deep fryers and how real capacity, wattage, and presets compare against price. Renata Diaz writes our buying guides for indoor grills, griddles, electric skillets, and panini presses, turning plate size, wattage, and owner feedback into plain advice. Felix Tran reviews food steamers, hot pots, and fondue pots, judged on capacity, temperature control, price, and long-term reliability.
